My Friend weights about 90kg and height is 155cm. She applied for a nursing job at XX Hospital.
She got interviewed by the ADN= Assisting Director of Nursing (Matron).
ADA asked:"
You are quite a big size gal.
You know ...when in Emergency where patient collapse, you have to perform CPR.
How are you going to do squeeze in and help resuscitation since you will definitely take up a lot of space due to your size?"
Friend replied: "I've lost quite a lot of weight since then.”
Ms Piggyneo feels that XX Hospital needs to go for Communication Skill for interviewing. If XXH wants to compete with local and overseas, XXH needs a lot of REVAMPING to do.
Competency and Fat does not link at all.
And working is all about competency.
How a Hospital can choose their staff according to weights?
NO WONDER those nurses that were bonded at XXH
• are from China
• are Slim
• look pretty
PS. I must declare that I have nothing against China. I like China.
Thinking about it
Are those China nurses meant only for looking good?
Through my own observations I had at XXH and NYP.

Being a health care worker
We must be also healthy in order to take care of the sick.
We are the ones to set examples for others to have a healthy lifestyle.
We need to educate the people about health.
Can you imagine?
A FAT nurse talking to you about exercising?
A smoker nurse talking about quitting smoking?
My friend is so upset and disappointed…………
She scare she no job and will be rejected because of her weight .
Ms Piggyneo can only console her and ask her to go for interview with other hospitals.
